Officer Complaints

When a citizen makes an official complaint against an officer, it is documented and investigated by the officer's supervisor. If the complaint is serious in nature or can not be resolved by the supervisor, it is forwarded to the captain for further investigation. Once the investigation is complete it is forwarded to the police chief as founded or unfounded. If the complaint is founded, the captain recommends the appropriate disciplinary action to be taken for the officers actions.
